Fortiche: stellar animation trapped in Riot’s toxic orbit

I’m sorry, you have the Riot Stink, you may need to be put down to prevent the spread of infection.

Fortiche Production SAS could have been the French equivalent of Pixar, a Paris studio with a Las Palmas branch whose artists turn stylised 3-D into living paint. Instead it is hand-cuffed to Riot, rapists of work, Games, and the fallout keeps getting worse.

First came the marketing fiction. Riot promoted Christian “Weak” Linke and his Mop-Yee as sole creators of Arcane even though Bridging the Rift shows that they solicited manuscripts while Linke, who had never written anything, arrived with a mid-2020 “re-scope” that tore up League lore and mirrored plot beats from my novel Bloodborg.

Then wave after wave of damage:

2021 press exposed Riot’s historic workplace misconduct investigations: gender-based pay gaps, executive harassment complaints and settlements quietly paid.

2023 Their CEO Nicko The Sicko fled to France after cupping women with farts and in the middle of allegations of sexual harassment.

2024 lawsuits accused Riot of billion-dollar IP theft, fraud on the court and systematic evidence suppression.

Early 2025 staff in Paris were told to use Chronodisk, wipe their drives and ship workstations to Las Palmas, allegedly to park data outside French and EU discovery reach.

Mid-2025 whistle-blowers revealed the wiped assets were rerouted to a Chinese cloud host already flagged by NATO researchers for military–civil fusion risk.

Vanguard anti-cheat remained mandatory, installing a ring-0 driver that independent reverse-engineers say can capture files and keystrokes even while games are closed.

Player-research logs showed psychometric A B testing tuned to maximise addictive loops and emotional triggers, material now analysed on servers governed by China’s National Intelligence Law.

Hundreds of hate emails and doxxing attempts targeted critics, many sent from IP ranges tied to Riot community managers.

Imagine being an animator who joined for the art and ends up amid alleged spyware deployment, data laundering, corporate harassment, bogus Wayback exhibits and a credited obnoxious show-runner as your boss and Dictator of Animation at Riot Games who has no writing résumé, isn’t an animator and has a nazi like one mistake policy.

Fortiche’s craft is undeniable yet the studio now wears what can only be called the Riot stink: IP raids, evidence shredding, toxic work culture, covert data exports, abusing of women, spying, IP Raping and a root-kit hiding in every download. Talents of this calibre deserve better than decades of explaining how a dream project slid into international legal and ethics quicksand.

And Fortiche signed a 20-year deal to make endless spin-offs of my work for Riot Games, many of which will never be made because I’m taking Riot down to protect the public and for international security.

Fortiche, break free while you still can... If you still can. The longer you stay, the deeper the stain. You are infested with the Riot Stink. Take a bath, wash the Riot lice out of your hair, then come testify, before you get arrested, raided and shut down as well.

I do have some sympathy for Fortiche and all the talented animators who have had their work forever tainted by Riot Games. When all this is done, I might buy Fortiche and make an animated documentary about the Riot Cult and their crimes.

Jump off the sinking ship, because it’s going down fast.

M.W. Wolf.
